Homecoming 2015 will celebrate the theme of Around the World, which is fitting for Florida Tech, recently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as having the nation’s highest percentage of international students.
From Nov. 3 to 8, students, alumni, faculty members and community residents can enjoy a free concert, a baseball game, a parade and much more. Accomplished astronaut Sunita L. Williams, who received a master’s in Engineering Management from Florida Institute of Technology, will receive the Jerome P. Keuper Distinguished Alumni Award during the Homecoming Awards Gala.
Williams is a U.S. Navy captain and has completed two missions to the International Space Station. She is currently training as part of the initial group of astronauts selected for a commercial crew program.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is named for the university’s founder.
