Course Description
Covers generally accepted project management practices on a broad range of projects such as construction, software, engineering and automotive. Emphasizes the process-based approach to accomplishing work activities comprising of inputs, tools and technologies and outputs.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to
- List and define the project management body of knowledge concepts
- Illustrate how different activities relate to the five process groups of Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Monitoring, and Closing
- Describe the nine knowledge areas of project management consisting of project integration, scope, time management, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk management and procurement

Lecture: Project Integration Management

- Identify the inputs, tools and techniques, and outputs for each knowledge area process (ITTOs)
- Know what is in a project charter

- Understand how to direct and manage project execution, monitor and control project work, perform integrated change control, and close a project or phase
- Use Microsoft Office Project 2013 to create a consolidated project plan
