Life interrupted Larry Middlebrooks’ college career – specifically, the military life.

With dreams of eventually joining the FBI, he dropped out of school and enlisted in the U.S. Army, where his duties as a bomb tech included disarming explosive devices in Iraq. His educational plans, meanwhile, fell by the wayside.

In our video interview, the Florida Tech grad recounts his decision to enroll in college after returning to civilian life and pursue a BA in Applied Psychology in Forensic Psychology.

“It was, more or less, something that I wanted to do because I started it and I hadn’t finished it,” the South Carolina man said. “I wouldn’t be happy until I finished this.”
